SIESKI (she/her)

Multi-disciplinary, queer-femme force, SIESKI, is a singer, songwriter, musician and actor based in so-called Vancouver on the ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.  

Her rise in the music scene is attributed in part to her unique sound in self-produced, debut EP, Dreamist, singles ‘Undertow,’ ‘Jamie,’ and ‘Scale Model,’ and most notably, for queer-femme, alt-pop anthem, ‘Lady Deity,’ which was given a national spotlight in the #VizzybilityProject; a queer showcase, curated by season one winner of Canada’s Drag Race, Priyanka, and Toronto-based Queer Collective.

In connection to her roots on the West Coast, her name itself represents the tides of the sea and the keys of a piano. SIESKI draws you into her dream-alt world with alluring vocals and melodies that flow and swell and absorb the listener. Bridging mischief, power and play, SIESKI combines her sense of movement, musicality, and theatrical influence, into a palatable, ethereal sound. 

The pandemic was a catalyst in SIESKI’s music, landing herself in the Top 20 of the online songwriting competition, ‘Sing for the Shot,’ composing an original score for the world premier of ‘Dressed as People,’ presented by Parry Riposte Productions at the 2021 Ottawa Fringe Festival, and performing in the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival as one half of their glittery, coastal, Lobster-themed duo act with drag/burlesque artist, Newfound Lad. 

Upon receiving a FACTOR Artist Development grant, SIESKI explored a new facet with her latest release, cinematic single, ‘Scale Model,’ a music video that took place inside a dollhouse replica of her real-life apartment to emulate the feeling of being trapped in one’s repetitive thought patterns.
